though I've never been for architectural viz purposes, I've been to 4 previous SIGGs. They've declined in attraction each year, but I was also a frustrated pup wandering about, wondering who might hire me. I found little pleasure in much other than the Animation Theater. I must say, though, that it's absolutely necessary to see the floor and all of the exhibitors, if only for four hours. I'll do it each year I go just to see what techno gadgets are up-and-comers and what studioos are working on. Now that I know there will be an arch viz crew, I'll be much more motivated to attend this year.

Can you justify the trip - that depends on what you want out of it. Coming from NY is a trek that needs greater purpose than desireing some pretty images (which you would definitely see). For networking purposes - that could be the rub. That's why I'd be motivated. I'd really like to see some other folks who do what I do. I think I'll also be owing a couple of folks some beers by the time I'm done asking all of my forum help-questions.
