Hi everyone
I am running 3d max 6 and i am trying to do a network render with a file containing rpc's. All of the backburnner machines have the rpc plug ins & the paths are located to the content folder on the network. BUT...when i open the file on the network manager machine, all is good & the rpcs will render. But when you open the same file on another machine, the rpc's won't render & can't be seen, even in wire frame, they are not visable???? Any help would be greatfully recived Anyone any ideas??? |

I have had this problem before but with viz 4.
1. make sure all the renderfarm computers all have the same version of max6 , with the same rpc plugin version - including 3rd party plugins, if any. 2. If you don't have alot of rpcs you can click "include maps" in the network render option - that may help (but I use that as a last resort) 3. If your .max file is over +/- 100MB be sure to have the "compress on save" checkmarked in your properities. 4. Double check the renderfarm bitmap path - make sure that the farm computers are properly setup with a network path and not individually pathed to the bitmap/rpc directory. Make sure your bitmap path matches that of your host computer - they cannot be different. |
