Getting into parties, especially the best ones, which are always the Blur and Houdini parties (well except for the CGA party)
is all about who you know and what strings you can pull. You can't walk into any of the big parties without an invite and getting one is quite literally like doing a drug deal. Almost all of the tickets are given away at the booths on the show floor, but they are usually done under a table, in a back room, or covertly. It's quite funny to watch. Your best bet is to ask all of your contacts at the show, your favorite vendors that know you and who has a ticket. And no you can't ask me...sorry. I had to pull favors from a friends, friends, friend to get tickets last year. LOL.
