Default GOFA wip using MR

Here's a wip of GOFA rendered using mental ray in max 7. Lighting was done using jeff patton's sky dome tutorial( thanks man!). still dark underneath the slabs. might add caustics once i figure it out (might change sun angle too).

waiting for your C&C's...

sir ira,

is this the the building of tadao ando featured in vizdepot's visualization contest? also, how did you render the concrete finish in the last pic(the one with holes) was that edited in the material editor or were the holes already in the model?

holes were created using in image as a bumpmap...a concrete material in the diffuse slot and a grayscale of another concrete panel with holes as bump.

here's another update

water is a mental ray shader with a glass(lume) map in the surface slot, an ocean(lume) in the bump slot and an edgeshadow(lume) in the shadow slot.
