Thanks Chad

no. They are not what i need, here is an Image of my doodle so far

i guess to be more specific That i already have the physical fountain modeled
(and rendered) so i need to make a mesh, probably 1 that falls over the edges
and 2 the other goes up and out (semi-spherical a bit)

i am looking thru the autodesk viz newsgroup search results for water at the moment
but i only need a still image so That simplifies my lack of understanding considerably

i found a Ted Boardman article so i might try to incoroporate That

any comments suggestions Ideas greatly appreciated

Randy

what if you lathed a spline around the fountain, added a material and maybe some PS work? or is that just a crappy idea? anyway, it's the first thing that came to mind. Good luck.

Hi Randy,

Take a look at the GOFA WIP posts for mental ray on VIZDepot. Here's a link:

http://www.vizdepot.com/forums/showt...&threadid=1575

Tetsuya Ozawa (ozlime) explains how he did the waterfalls and they look absolutelly gorgeous.

Hope this helps,
