Default Nicolas Richelet - WIP

Hello,

First, good luck to all the contestants !!
This challenge will be very very interesting, i think.

And now my first wip : The first thing i saw with the shapes is a big cityscape, with large buildings as environment, so i began to model a few skyscrapers and placed my camera. Finding a good point of view to maximize impact is a priority for me.The image will be focused on a building, which will replace the in a near future... Depth fog will follow, i'll reorder the little cubes in the background and add another skyscrapers.

That's an awesome start! I love this idea. You could use some of the pieces to build little vehicles and populate the streets as well. I know this is sooo early but I think the "curvature of the earth toward the horizon" look is a little overplayed right now.

Wow, really nice! I haven't downloaded the files yet, but I hope to start tonight. It's fun to start seeing other peoples ideas for the challenge.

Nicolas, your concept for this arrangement is pleasing and coherent with the rendering style and lighting that this WIP represents.

Nice set of building blocks for shapes that are in the challenge 1 package!

Thats awesome! How much work do you think you'll be putting into texturing?

Some design test for the focused building.
For the moment, i prefer the second one...
The rounded shape is more interesting with all those cubic building around, i think.
Tell me what you think please
Thanks !
