Default Martin Pettigrew - WIP

Here is my work in progress. The main idea is a happy escape surrounded by a lifeless city.
There are a few shapes missing right now but they will be added soon.
There will be also more work on composition and proportions.

I'll be waiting for your comments and critiques.

Martin

Hey Martin,
I think that's a really nice start.. pretty simple idea...
Also i am sure you going to make these buildings blocks as "sad" as they should be... maybe you can use only the environment to lighten the scene to make the set even more dramatic...instead of using this direct sun with sharp shadows...
good work and good luck
Olivier

Hey Martin, nice moody shot you have. You may want to assemble your object of focus to epitomise on this mood.

Hi everyone,
Here is an updated image. I focused on the creation of the place. The building of this lifeless city are changing and it is expressed by colors and shapes that come from the centre place (that I still call a happy escape :-). Still some work to do (composition of the place, details), but the pov and the look should be the same (no textures, color contrast).

When I looked at your original post I have to admit I wasn't too keen on it but the adjustments you've made are starting to look really good. Pulling the camera back helped a lot.
