Hi evryone!

this is my concept for the competition, a city plaza located at the very heart of the city. my focus here is the feeling of a tourist visiting this plaza and experiencing the space aound him with skyscrapers surrounding him. there are two buildings which are emphasized.
I'm still working on a title for this one.

all of the shapes are in the composition. I might change some buildings in the background since im not quite satisfied with the overall feel of the composition. the view is also tentative since im considering other vantage points.
I will be adding more details to the surrounding environment, but not too much.
textures are optional, but i might add texture on the focal point.

here's what i've done so far. I did change the main building fronting the plaza. I will be adding the base of the two buildings that will connect them. Background buildings will be added later and the plaza textured. will add fountains sprouting from the ground.

I've pretty much added the preliminary textures for the scene. Later, i will be adding some entourage to fill the scene probably with opacity maps mapped on the existing figures.
textures are still very basic since i'm still looking for the right combination. I'm pretty convinced already with the lighting. Still to decide on the camera angle to use since i need to define the feeling i want to convey. I have two candidates for the views and will render them later on.
I rendered this one low res since i'm too sleepy already to wait for a long render,
played some with photoshop..(lens flares...hehehe...camera's facing the sun so i think is ok..)and also played with some blending modes...just for the heck of knowing what the different blending modes do..about time i get to know PS more.anyways, more updates after i finish my other obligations..till then..goodluck everyone..good night!

looks great,nice camera view i think you should keep this view its working
perfect. the only thing that i think you should skip is the PS filter you are
using your clean images just look better.

The PS effects are Ok for me. And i think this will be even better on the high res renders.

Good Morning everyone..

back to work. Left the PC to render before i slept and this was the outcome, a different, more formal view i think. I'm trying to express a certain feeling of awe and appreciation though the experience of the site and the surrounding buildings. Also, i'm setting the mood.

Next step will be adding entourage and tweaking of materials.

C&C will be appreciated.
