How can it be?my dual amd mps are suppose to run at 1,9 but the bios says they run at 1,6.The motheboard manufacturer says -asus- that its amd mp ready . The jumpers seem to be in the right place but stilll....the processors run at 1600 Ghz
what is going on?

Are you saying the processors should run at 1900 because they are called 1900? If so, you should know that the later-day AMD Athlons are name for the 'relative performance' and not their actual clock speed. In other words, a model 1900 should run at about 1.6G

If you got a model 2100 expecting 1.9G, then it would obviously be a hardware issue. I have found that as long as the BIOS is up to the a certain speed, changing AMD CPUs is plug and play...but I have not messed with a MP system yet.

But I will!
