I've just been speaking to a UK architect client of mine and he mentioned that he was interested doing some photo montages which are verifiable for planning applications. Apparently there is a process for this, but I have not heard about it before. Mind you, I do think I have an idea of what will be required.
Does anyone know about this process & could explain it to me? May be there is a web site with the info on? Can't find one with google.. Luka |

The requirements for these things tend to vary from region to region.
Best thing to do is speak to the Duty Planning Officer at the authority where the architect will be making the application. Even better, try and speak with the Planning Officer responsible for that area. They are there to help. It's never wise to try and second-guess Planners

they instigated this process....................... but it's pretty simple basically ensure you have lots of data and a paper trail of how you have arrived at the image so it's not a smoke and mirrors excercise planning images i undertake do not have the nudges and tweeks that you may get away with using photoshop unless you are stitching images and changing the focal length of a image if you are using max you very rarely get a match using the cam match utils from my experience so ensure you have a proper camera to record lens settings accurate survey info (accurate) proposals to work to although i've never had to "go to court" any work i do on planning submissions always has a paper trail behind it just in case and in a couple of tricky situations it's worked when they have come back and questioned the content

Looks like good advice. I will go my local authority and have a chat with them as well.
