On that small a scale its difficult to get what your after. Its all about the reflection map. Put a high contrast scene in the reflection channel as a spherical map and add a bump map or two.

The first thing is: what software you use, max, maya, xsi....?
The second thing is: what system of render you use? then depending on this the materials they will be of a form or of another one, we needed first that you say to us that motor and software you use, when you do it I will help you, whenever it is a motor of render of which I use.

hey thanks man!! for the replies..

I use 3ds max6

i use sky light and the light tracer for my exterior scenes
with the scanline renderer. if i use the lakerem.jpg (thats max's collection)
for the reflection map some parts of the model looks strange from some angle. I just cant balance the reflections evenly but it looks cool on the curved models and cylinders.

thanks again..

look for more tutorials and tips in the RESOURCES section.

The allucobond material, is somehow similar to the stainless steel, just less shiny.
