Eunice Lee - WIP2

Looks like I'm running a little behind schedule. But here's my WIP.

I started out by wanting to illustrate a portion of Times Square, New York.
And ended up modeling a few blocks away from it.

As I was spending a good half of the day walking around and taking photos of various sections of Times Sq., I somehow became attracted to this part of Manhattan more than the heart of Times Sq. The co-existance of brand new buildings and aged buildings in the same view somehow made sense.

I don't know if I am going to have time to upload another progress but I would appreciate your comments.

Looks excellent Eunice, I really like the detail of the uplights at the upper left to right of the image!

This scene looks like it has lots of potential. What kind of lighting are you contemplating (or, at this point, creating)?

I am illustrating a late afternoon (before the sunset) when the shadows are casted long.
