This is a suggestion of the interior space- The lobby will have two double height spaces off to each side of the middle area of the floor. The two side strips will be the location of the majority of action takes place as this lobby becomes a transition space where the lower region and the more regular floor plates of the upper levels merge and blur.

Natural light will filter down from the two sides of the middle strip of ceiling that is lower and in the middle top of view.

The next phase is to finish the volume of space out so that detailing can begin, as materials and lighting will be the major focus of this piece.

Lighting and materials are not activated currently. The current range of colors is only an aid in delineating the potential of slippage and shifting of planes/geometry inherent in the flat layout.

Comments and crits are always welcomed.

More adjustment to spatial geometries, and I gave one side of the walls a tilt so that I could allow for a more celebrated gesture to natural light on one side of the lobby. The shift in axis also adds some asymmetry to the space.

I will do a small render to see what kind of adjustment to lighting might be possible.

I think the adjustment with the one wall will work. A little more geometry adjusting and then a lot of detailing.

Lighting/Materials not activated. This is only a look at the geometry and light suggestion.

Starting to come together! Did you design everything yourself? I need to go the the bookstore to get some ideas.

I like the perspective of your 2nd to last post - the version with the angled walls. The last perspective you showed doesn't seem to have the same impact as the one before.

The first image, partial layout is using some information from an actual floor plan that I used to graft a new design -the second image. All of the modeling is all my design. I used the actual floor plan as a starting point to create new geometry for the feel of the space in the completed flat layout.

Thanks for the comments on the camera angle. I think I agree with you, I am still wanting some of the vertical dimension of the middle element to be in the shot.

I will take your comments in mind as I move the camera around.

Thanks to Tim, I think I will go with this camera angle and begin the detailing of this scene. I expect there to be some changes to the design of the geometry along with way as this molds into the detailing design stage.

Comments and Criticism are always welcomed.

Hey Tyrone,

In a way i quite liked the first proposition you had (with the straight walls).

Now, i find it a bit confusing... maybe i am wrong. It's a bit like if you try to put to much things together. I would try to correct the elements on the right side... why not having some kind of "clean" wall on that side and some more "divided" elements on the other side... To break the "uniformity". And the light will bring everything together...

slow down you are too fast but promissing wip !
i am still on the inspiration phase

cheers,
Olivier

Hello Olivier, I think you have a valid point. I am not completely satisfied with the right wall yet either, it needs some more attention. The walls on the left will be the ones that are hit with interior lighting and will receive some interesting details with some paneling ideas.

I am working on a detail for the floor right now, I will address the left and right walls in another work session.

Thanks for the comments. I have to work fast as there are a lot of tiny details that will need to be added in the end.

I cannot wait to see you what you have planned!
