Hi I have been trying to learn mental ray (3d max) for about 2 months, with limited sucess. The best information I found was by a poster called Joske explaining how to set up lights in an interior scene (putting lights at windows to simulate daylight).
Most of my attempts end up either taking hours to render quite a simple scene or too much colour bleeding, I havent managed to get even half way to some of the nice light distribution some of you guys are getting. I was wondering if anyone or Joske could give me more information on how to approach this, and which of the 10000 settings to tweak. Or even better could email me a max scene with a light setup so i can examine it (always the best way I find). Anyway, thanks for you time Kelvin |
