using 3ds and the scan line render, i can use the an image in the opacity map of a material and then using a normal 3ds light and raytraced shadows, the light will cast a shadow.
id like to be able to do this with vray. any clues? or suggestions on how i can create the effect? the real goal is to creat a glass material with a frit pattern in it. thanks! |

You can still use standard materials in Vray, just add a Vray Mat Wrapper on top of your standard material. Same with lights but include Vray shadows in the light paramiters.
