Default 2D anaimation

Hi
An off topic really but anyway, i want to but together an animation in the tradional sence, ie 2D.

The onlly software i can se on the net for doing this mirage.
the site link is below, and the gallery page is very nice.

Dose anybody have any suggestions on how or what to use for this type of work.
Flash is not the look i am looking for.
more the scrible look, as in the link.

I am using Project Dogwaffle Pro 3.1 extensively for this short film. From animation to matte paintings and VFX.
