Default Now Accepting Reservations for the 4th Annual CGarchitect.com SIGGRAPH Industry Event

The 4th annual CGarchitect.com industry event is here again. Last year's event was a huge success as we played host to over 130 architectural CG artists and industry vendors from around the globe. This year, in addition to the cocktail reception, we will also be presenting the awards for the 2005 Architectural Visualization Competition and the 2nd Annual CGarchitect.com Architectural 3D Awards. Winners of both competitions will receive the prestigous AVC and 3D Awards Trophies.

The event is tentatively scheduled for the evening on Tuesday August 2nd after the show closes for the day.

Still at the location you mentioned earlier--which was called 'fifth floor' or similar? How far is that from the SIGG site and the hotels?

Until we book all of the sponsors that space is still tentative. My last round of emails will be going out this weekend. That space is right next door to the Disney Concert Hall which is closer to most hotels than the Convention Center is. It would probably be a 15-20 minute walk (I think) or a 5 min cab or transit ride.

Thanks. Sounds good. And yes, I'm still not completely sure, but PROBABLY will go. I was still trying to decide if I should get a car or not while there. LA without a car? Only for the poorest and recent crime victims?

Also not sure how long to go for. It sounds like I could do the SIGG show AND the CGA party in one day. Then what?

Really depends what type of conference pass you are getting. If there are courses you want to go to then that could keep you busy all week. With an Exhibits Plus I'd say there is a good half day of stuff to see and if you want to watch all the animation theatre stuff that could be another full day. Then there is the Electronic Theatre, parties at night. I'd say 2 days min, but then that is just me. SIGGRAPH is more fun than Xmas IMHO, so I always go for a full week.

If you or anyone else is staying at the Sofitel in West Hollywood (Beverly Hills), I'd be happy to give you a ride in the mornings. I've got a Ford Expedition so I have lots of room.
