Some initial sketches (I know - 1 day 8hrs to go - loads of time!).

I don't think the composition's right yet but the idea is to have some kind of arcade running around the building to give expression to the structure and a hint of the surrounding environment, the lobby being recessed behind.

It's enough to start modelling anyway. I'll post another WIP when I've got a block model to play with and start looking at composition.

Good luck to you man! I was in your boots on the last challenge and it didn't work out too well for me. I hope you'll fare better doing everything at the last minute.

An overnight render - 4hrs - I may need to optimise this!

The image is about different layering - city, external skin, intermediate space, lobby, atrium core beyond. That's the idea anyway.

Just need to model up the atrium then I can start thinking about fixing the composition.

I've just put the atrium in.. but now I'm thinking it would be better circular given how orthogonal the rest of the building is - to emphasise the soft core of the building. 8hrs left. hmmmm

- Less blur on people;
- Better sidewalk texture (fake it);
- Not crazy about the blue-green color of the horizantal supporting members;
- More overall brightness?

Just my opinion Looks like you're going to pull it off! Great job -

Hey Dan,

The biggest thing that I'm missing is an apparent light source for the light on your ceiling in the center of the image. Everything else is pretty realistic, except for that part. Looking good. Make those last minutes count!
