Thumbs up Marcin Dzieniszewski - FINAL #3

Ufffffff.

Here is what I was able to do within last few hours.
This work is not finished. I wanted to do it much better.
I was very disapointed because of my deadline mistake.
I was sure that it is 5th of June and when I saw that
only few hours left I was very angry and sad and I gave up.

Many thanks to you guys for your uplift.

Rendering is not the best quality.
I'm not sure is it enough to pass to the next challenge.
Your finals are great.

Good luck to everyone
Marcin

For so much window the lighting is surprisingly subtle. I guess it's late afternoon--on a Sunday, judging from the lack of people.

The space is well modeled and the colors are good. But with so much about lighting, perhaps that could be more dramatic. If its late, why not some warmer tones, some sunset colors in the light, some purples in the dark? Do the angled walls at the ground on the right open to the outside? If so, more light coming in! If not, darker, so to provide a better contrast to the light above. The structures are interesting, so some more contrast on them wouldn't hurt.

I like the floor, and the way it lightens with distance. This helps us understand that it is a long distance, so just right there.

I would like some clues as to what this place is--airport, church, government building?

A classic composition, much like architectural photography. Nice detailing in the structure. Image could be warmer and brighter with more contrast. Give more attention to the location, movement, and scale of people.

This compliments Vinoly’s space very well. The modeling is incredible in details. The ambient light can be a bit brighter to reveal the textures of the other surfaces. Overall is a very good rendering. Great Job!

The tour groups tell you at Fallingwater that F. L. Wright made the hallways narrow with one wall opaque and one wall glass in order to force you to look outside. I can think of no finer spot to take advantage of this technique than this image – please crop in from the left removing between half to one third of that brown wall of death and forcing our eyes out the window at the right. Much more interesting than an intact one point, our eyes move from outside to the end of the space and back again instead of just getting sucked into that brown wall.

Then we need to know something about architectural program which you’ll be forced to convey using people – as four doesn’t do it.

Well, I must way I am partial to this image, as this is one of my favorite spaces I've experienced. I think the render does great justice to the scale and abstraction of seeing this structure. The shadowplay reinforces without overpowering, and detail gracefully feathers out in distance, suggesting grandeur. Touche'!
