The best feature of this rendering is the lighting and its color. It feels like sunshine. Then there's the 'other' light which is bouncing about in the picture wherever needed. I'm not sure where all of it is coming from, but who cares, we can see everything we're supposed to.
I don't think the tierods are needed structurally, but as decorative items they add loosness to an otherwise rigid building design. However, as such, why not use their shape as a material border on the sidewalk? It would tie the pedestrian level to the elevated shapes. Speaking of pedestrians, these people are great. All but a few are wonderfully matched to the scene and lighting. Those that aren't all that far off, though it was something that I noticed. The red banner, while a nice color addition, looks artificial here. I guess its supposed to be on the back wall, but at first I thought it was hanging in front of the revolving doors. It shouldn't be so hard to tell. The light bounced up under the roof is a great detail, and nevermind that it's probably not accurate. A dark roof wouldn't look as good. Finally, I would like to see more variation in the two glass planes, to better show the massing shapes. A good view choice--by not allowing any space between the columns on the right you keep us from drifting off (and you don't have to come up with anything to put there). We do not need to see isolated columns to know what they are, as we have the one on the left which established what they are, and then the shadows. You show without really showing! |

Good overall composition with a lot of depth. The overall textures are adequate, however I found some integration issues for example the red flag is too bright and saturated, and the people shadows colors don’t match the rest. The camera location in relation to the architecture seemed to be well selected.

The center of attention seems to be that glass box but there is nothing remarkable about it. What would seem to be a sunscreen attaching to the superstructure is unconvincing in terms of its architectural presence and the material rendition.

Technically very nice, and I love the people.
I think my biggest problem with this is that interior light levels during sunny days are always darker than exterior light levels. If you expose film for exterior light levels the interior will be dark and if you expose for interior light levels the exterior will be light. I understand the desire to show interiors, and exteriors simultaneously but if that is the desire for me the choice needs to be an evening shot, or an overcast day. Most egregious to my eyes is the atrium space, and the ceiling immediately inside are both too bright. My recommendation is to decide what you have to show, and then select the time of day that accomplishes that the best. You’ll have to fake some stuff in any scenario, but if you can push the reading you want as much as possible by selecting the conditions most favorable to it you’ll have to do less work. I can see you battling here a lot – especially in the area just inside the entryway – but it doesn’t have to be that hard. |

I like the detail and crispness of the image, but find the exterior and interior lighting a bit at odds. I would expect to see the interior at a darker value based on likely photographic exposure, but as a stylization it succeeds. I don't find any materiality from the bowed trusses, especially against the texturing of the column. I also find the red to advance too much, and could be desaturated.
