Default Animation resolution

Hi,

What should be the animation resolution ?
What about sound efects and music.
Should it contains any intro and outro beside requested 20s. ?
What about WIPs, should I post previews as WIPs
or something else ?

I'm looking to get one of our sponsors to donate time on their renderfarm for the competitors so everyone has access to the same horsepower. Could everyone post the apps they are using right now for rendering?

Woah, that would be great. I use Viz 2006 and Vray 1.46... (should be max 7 compatible though)

Hello Marcin,

I think this will be given with the release of rules/instructions challenge 4.

I think especially with only 2 weeks this time, the sooner we get the rules the better. That way people can at least get geared up for what they are going to need to do before they start. I would like to know all these as soon as possible too, even though there is a chance I might get.....ELIMINATED...boohooo!

Tim,

You have a valid point. The resolution size will greatly determine the scale of what is exactly possible with the time frame. But I tend to think that makes it all the more of a challenge to do what you can with limited resources as long as the requirements (resolution size) are within good range.
