An Architect has given us some cad files of landscaping with alot of height data. The architects want an accurate 3D representation of their landscaping data.
Does anybody know of a tutorial or advice in how to create landscaping from Autocad data into Studio Max the using height and scale data. I'm a novice at this. I have quite a large amount of landscaping info to get to grips with. eeek

if you have the contour lines or can make the contour lines from the data you could use the terrain tool in viz/max to create a landscape mesh.
create the contour lines in CAD then import them to max or viz. there are tutorials that ship with both pieces of software for using the terrain tool. hope it helps james |
