Modeling/Texturing: Both modeling and texturing is very well done. There is not much texture but the modeling detail is great and the attention to the pods is very pleasing.
Lighting: The lighting creates a very nice atmosphere. Composition: Overall the composition is very successful and interesting. The balance is lost a bit at the base and the figures could be improved upon. C/O/D: This image has creativity, originality, and technical difficulty-nice. Unity: If the people were a bit more polished the image would be fabulous. Brief: To create a more believable space the plants could be more convincing which would make the image more organic. |

The modeling and texturing, although minimal, seems pretty clean. The level of detail works well, with a good ballance between being evocative and real. The lighting is well done, and we like the color gradation throughout the image.
Camera Tilt is the New Black. Still, the compostiion is creative and gives a good sense of the space and its large size. There could be more lushness in the plants - while the backlighting makes the space evocative, it makes the greenery rather gloomy. More foliage would work well - perhaps in the foreground. The image appears very unified and all aspects of the rendering carry a strong almost futuristic theme. Well Done! |

Modeling/Texturing: Very good - I especially like the texture and sheen on the underside of the top deck. Your eye goes straight to it, and it's very well done. Other parts of the image are a little flat, but for the most part the lighting scheme is pretty forgiving.
Lighting: Well done - very evocative and inviting. The use of cool and warm colors is handled exceptionally well. The glow from outside is perhaps a bit too strong, concealing some of the detail in the background, but this is a matter of personal taste. Composition: Possibly the weakest aspect. I'm not a fan of the tilted horizon, and I don't think it's buying you that much here. The central column is a nice diagonal through the image, but I would have liked to see this handled differently. The camera seems low relative to the foreground railing in the lower right corner - as a result, the railing interrupts the view to the base of the tower, and unfortunately is cutting off some of the people's heads. All of this being said, the top of dome is an excellent compositional device to contain the energy of the diagonal. C/O/D: Very creative and original. Pulling all of this together required a great amount of technical difficulty as well. Good job. Unity: Extremely well unified, with the only exception being the people at the base - they seem like they're in a hurry and not enjoying themselves as they should be. Brief: Well done, some of the trees are a little flat and the scene could be more lush, but overall very good. |

really nice composition - the more I look at this it reminds me of Michael Whelan with the tower and the rainbow colours. Good use of people - perhaps more upper veg? The lighting works well and helps draw the eye to the main points of interest.

Nice image. Very Sid Mead concept style.
The light quality and variation of tone works well, as does the balance of vegetation to people. My only crit would be some of the mapping is a little wayward towards the bottom.
