Default Christophe Landrain - Final

Here's my final image for challenge 2, following my concept of first image, a leaf shaped dome, pointing towards future. Good luck everyone

Modelling: Very good modelling in some areas. The texturing and materials work very well close up. The dome looks excellent close up, i love the blurred leaf style glazing, complete with ribbing. The background lets the image down slightly, the model just runs out to the distance and gets more blocky as you go. Needed a better blend to a realy image for the backdrop.

Lighting: Very washed out, and yellow toned. Its a shame as there could be nice greens from the scenery, mised with the water and reflective building. Looks almost dusk with a day sky.

Composition: Not very dynamic. Frames the building well, but it doesnt show it off to its best. Solid though.

Overall has potential. Nice modeling of the dome and the landscape. You have slightly let it down with the background and the weird colouration. With trying to not overdo reflections etc it has lost focus. Now nothing really stands out.

Nice modelling of the foreground detail, but the landscape looks too CG and is a weird colour. The background bridge needs less contrast to stop it pushing forward in the image and the cars need desaturating. I think a less busy sky would help focus on the building more.

M/T: The glass is very blurry and confusing. The sky, water, and color of hills could be improved
L: The lighting is ok-pretty typical
Comp: The bridge is misplaced but there is a nice fore/middle/and background
C/O: You presented a creative idea here.
U: Nothing really fits together to create a whole idea
B: This dome is a total departure from the project plans

Technically a good job. Some nice modeling work, especially on the foreground. The lighting is not especially daring but works well. The sky doesn’t work as well as other elements in the scene – some better compositing and more work coordinating the water and sky colors would help. We like the design of the dome, but the brown landscaping makes us feel thirsty.
