Default Suggestion for DVC-2.0 next year....

Jeff & Randal,

I forgot to put this on my DVC survey so I will mention it here instead.

Could you guys consider putting our CGA avatars on our name badges next year? I must have talked to at least 20+ people who all agreed that it would be a great idea. You would be surprised how recognizable peoples avatars are and it would really help us to spot people when walking around the events.

Just my .02 cents...

Thanks again for a GREAT conference

I did notice that a few people had them on their badges, but it was in 8 pt type so you couldn't see it.

We'll add it to the list. Thanks for the suggestion. Glad you had a great time as well. I'm looking forward to the next event already.

That is a great idea. It will help us recognize eachother and re-enforce the connection between the conferences and the all-year, on-line community many of us also participate in.

I guess that means I need to get myself an avatar one of these days.

Nah Chad, absolutely not!!! You are not alone!!!

so for those without an avatar (and whose nickname has nothing to do with their real name...): a large printed nickname will do just fine ,-)

rgds,

Yea I think the avatar is a great idea and it would also be great to have our online screen names big and bold. I talked to many people that had no idea who I was until I mentioned my screen name.

I've been suggesting this for all the events I go to since I first started attending Siggraph 5 years ago. It really makes sense. I've gotton to know so many people online even though I have no idea what they look like. It would be great to search for people at these real life events by what I do know, their avatar.

Thanks for posting this Parker1
