Default Need help making window scrims

Hi guys,

I need help making window scrims for a showroom that I am making. How would you guys go about creating those scrims that are semi transparent from the inside and opaque from the outside? From the outside view, we would see the printed graphics on those scrims through the windows and from the inside we would see outside. By the way, I'm using V-ray (1.5)

is this for an animation? (where you see both sides of the same scrim in the same sequence)?

if you are just doing stills I would highly recommend setting up seperate scenes. You will get faster rendering times and have an easier model to navigate if you aren't loading everything into one scene.

Create your building shell place it in two scenes, and then in one model detail the interior, and in another detail the exterior. This of course will create two seperate scrims that you can apply different materials to, making for the desired appearance in each scene.

Vray2SidedMtl would work for this if your glass material were a plane instead of having a thickness.
