Default ADT 2007 and Viz 2007?

I have to model a building for a rendering and I have both ADT 2007 and Viz 2007.
What would be the workflow you'd use to get the fastest and cleanest 3D mesh?
So far I tried with Viz's polymodelling with clean frozen acad floorplans & elevations, editing and deleting faces.
It seems so simple in the video-tuts!
Booleans or Polybooleans in Viz destroy the meshes!
I am trying ADT 2007 aec walls, doors, etc. now,
What would be your approach?
Thanks

I've done it with complex ADT models before and the imported/linked geometry can be huge and annoying. If you're on subscription and getting Viz08 I'd love to hear whether the changes to the linker improve the experience.
