i got this really nice glass script from jon seagull. You probably may already have it but. i did it on a jan brooks pool scene. I just put a reflect map on it. It auto calcs the frensel, you just click a button, so that suits me. It was about 10 times faster to render and it looks crisp and lurid with a nice subtle reflection.
This was an interior so i wanted them to be transparent but i guess it would work well for exteriors too if you want full on reflections. Give it a go. You just run script and [img]Graemlin/biggrin2.gif[/img] up it pops in the new materials dialogue.

What's the name of the script? Architectural glass 0.6?

that's right nisus. just run the script and architectural glass wil appear in the material standard start diaog box. its nice and straight forward with enough tweaking capability to not simplify the process for those who want a bit more i think
