Default Andras Miklos BALOGH - WIP 1

I have looked up a couple images regarding ancient turkish architecture, and have found that the proper material for the masonry would be this red sandstone. I don't want to show the whole building so my POV is rather closer to the building. The bottom middle part of the facade would be the one that is renovated for the casting mentioned in my story.
Please feel free to send comments and critiques.

The texturing is a good start. The aerial views make the building feel small. If you choose one of these views you'll need some strong elements (people, plants, etc.) to bring the scale of the building back up. The ground view is also showing the building smaller than it is. I think this will change once you get some things in for scale.

If just pure quiet needle picture, this a few angles can't explain the topic, can try the more ideal angle

The camera view is close to building, which makes me to have a strong sense of participation.

While I'm a big fan of cropped views and closeups, myself guilty of cropping my building. I would suggest that you strategize on the cropping in composition. There still should be some balance of focus and emphasize of the building. If you zoom in, you should think about picking a focal point and experiment different camera settings to establish and place some strong and dynamic perspective lines that help your eye move in on the target focal point. Otherwise, the building will just appear to be cropped. It feels like movie with no ending, if I can use that analogy.

Your idea is great , that' ll make the image very impressive and give the detailed part a very deep express. And I just advise you to think more about the composition of the whole image to make it more beautiful. Waiting for your new progress!

Julie: Thanks for your detailed and targeted opinion about the view I chose. Altough since May the 4th I've completely changed the view, your opininon is still relevant, as I've stayed with the cropped close-up. With mentioning 'some balance of focus' did you mean to say that you would have liked to see some depth of field kind of things in the picture? Like parts which are a bit blurred?

exquisitus3d1: Is 'strong sense of participation' good or bad for you?

enigma: That's on purpose. With 'cropping' the view I intend to add some uncertainty to the picture to make it more exciting.
