The plants and lighting are nearly final. Texturing will be next.

Nice work so far Aaron, I could see perhaps some ground uplights or something to show a bit more of all the landscaping you have close to the viewer, I know it's there, but I can barely see any of it. Just my two cents, great work as usual

no, here's the other entry - http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/23570-ziye-wip.html
as far as the pots go, I'll be replacing the evermotion pots with clay pots. I'm also not committed to the pink flowers.

Thank you Russell. I might add some landscape lighting once I finish the texturing.

I really like the mood you have here Aaron and the fact that you have lights on inside makes me want to look in and see what's going on in there. When I do I see something weird. It's like it's an image was used for the interior but the perspective is off.

The lighting is nice for establishing the feeling (I should read your story before commenting, but haven't yet) but it lacks a focus. The story will say where that focus should be. Having it all at accurate but un-distinguished levels is passive. When you tell a story you focus on some things at the expense of others. Your lighting is part of how you're telling your story. Think: active/passive, major/minor |

Hi there Aaron, if you´re planing 2 use that background image, i think it will help some direct lighting from right side, to match background light direction, good luck, great work!!
