Default Chen Liang-Final

Hello, everybody, sorry that I cannot get on the appointed link to upload the ftp. I have uploaded the finals onto the ftp of my company on 30th, June, and the judges have got it. I think you can see it when the ftp is ok. I can only download the product of escargot's and zoli's. I feel so pitiful that I cannot download others'. Last but not least, wish everybody healthy and successful!

I don't know if you are aware of this but your animation doesn't play through the whole movie. In any case, I really enjoyed the first sequence. The ice material is awesome not to mention the animated snow storm. The camera movement is great. I was really looking forward to seeing the rest of it. Hopefully it will be available for download soon. The last WIP that you posted really looked good and after seeing a piece of your final animation I am sure that it is great. Good Luck!

Hi Chen,

Congratulations for your final submission.

I'm impressed by your animation in many ways. First of all, I saw a smart way of excecuting the movie: the first shots were rough and brutal in a way, but the detail kept getting better and better with every shot helping the suspense in you movie.
I was most thrilled by the environments, wheather conditions and atmospheric skies. Very well executed I 'felt' the lighting striking and shivered. Amazing.
I'm also very found of the subtle twists in the story development. Your animation/story is one of my personal top three.

rgds,

nisus

Hi Chen-

The cinematic aspect of your work is very high - lighting, camera moves, textures. All done very well and brought together to create a great cohesive piece.

As with some of the other submitted work, a little bit of editting to delete the portions that are not work could make it nearly flawless. The first scene for example does little to carry the story , yet is distracting due to the rendering and animation issues.

You took the inklings of your story and drove it to a very high level. Congratulations

This animation is done very well, I really like the idea of exploring the building in the past and the present. It has a strong atmosphere and nicely composed shots, I like the shot revealing the building behind the hill with lightning and birds circling over.

The scene of unlocking the portal was a bit too long for me, maybe a really heavy blizzard would have hidden the lack of detail in the opening a bit more. Unique idea backed up with a high level of composition and quality.

Good work
