Default books about architecture

Hi, I am a designer, but not an architect. I would like to know a bit more about architectural history, and about cool architects to develop a better taste about it, and because in 3d it's easy to experimentate.
I heard Christopher Nichols mentioned about Lebbeus Woods, John Hejduk, Lars Lerup, Steven Holl and Zaha.
I'm not going to seriously study it to be an architect, just want some inspiring sources, and maybe a bit of history of architecture. Could you please suggest the resources like books or online stuff?
Thank you.

If you want inspiring but light reading, I would suggest you subscribe to a monthly architectural journal.

Or the free option would be to go to your local library, leaf through a few books and see what styles grab your attention.

I think Morphosis would be relevant.... most of the monographs on this firm are quite graphic and their work has a very digital tendency. Eric Owen Moss, Rem Koolhaas, Eric Pinon,.... Calatrava maybe (actually if you can find his watercolor renderings he does they are VERY beautiful).

I think perhaps finding a book that has an overview of Architecture history and going through to see what strikes you would be good. Perhaps you will like Green & Green or a Constructivist, or Guadi. Good luck.... have fun.

Perhaps i missed the mark on the original post. But i supplied sites to books that would show work by various designers and architects. Once you found the book/ and then the architect/designer it would then be easy to select a style you would like to purse. I for one like to comb through magazines that sometimes have no direct relation to architecture at all.

I find inspiration in art magazines:

pottery
quilt/fabric/fashion design
multi-medium sculpture
engineering magazines and studies.
aerospace/ fabrication/ naval design
floral design

things of that sort. hope it helps more.

Thank you all for replies, I will definitealy use your advises.
Matt, sure, I understand you, furniture is not architecture but still you can find it very relative to it, as many other things.
