Default New BOXX renderfarms

Hi all

Was thinking of getting one of these and I was wondering has anyone got one, used one, or even heard anything about their results and exactly how good they are. Seems pretty good on their site but I would love to hear from anyone that has experience of them.

Cheers

Tommy

I have several renderboxes from BOXX, I don't know if this is what your talking about or not. I haven't had any problems with them but I will say that they are over priced compared to other brands that are out there. I've been buying my computers from XI for the past few years and I've been very happy with the price and quality.

A computer is a computer nowadays. The only real reason to go with a specialized rig is that its easier to configure with a reasonable operating system. (Good luck trying to get XP on anything resembling a blade at dell/hp/etc) and or for service based reasons, like not wanting to fark with X number of machines and issues when/if something goes down.

they may be very pricey, but a call to the office will net you a replacement part at your doorstep in the morning. (Recent experience with a failed power supply) complete with a box, rma, and fedex sticker to return the junked one.
