Hello all,
I need to create a portfolio, but it seems like whenever I search for portfolio ideas, they are almost always done in Flash...which I don't have. Does anybody have any good examples of HTML based portfolios for inspiration? Thanks! Aaron |

Do a google search on web templates - there are some pretty good ones out there. If you have a design concept in mind it's best to sit down and design it yourself then figure out how to build it. Macromedia fireworks is a good tool for laying out your webpage and saving it out in HTML format.

Even without Flash, you can insert Flash files into your HTML. This is a common approach. For example, buy this nice little viewer here for 25 bones... http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchang...&extid=1183529
or get a free one like simple viewer. Follow directions to drop it into your HTML and off you go. Post your results when you are done? Good luck, Scott |

it was up for exactly a year. it was up there originally as an excersize to proove to myself i could write it purely in html, but it didn't serve a purpose ultimatly. it didn't gain me 1 extra client and was more a hastle updating it than the worth of it. so i let my subscription run out. i'm one of the only cg guys i know without a web site, but hey, my client turnover has never been stronger
if peeps want to see my work i'll contact them personally. |

I like this one. It was similar to my html site before I went flash. It was similar in that I had a stack of renderings that a user could use the scroll wheel to see. Their renderings are pretty sweet too.
