Can anyone tell me why when in max I pan or use arc rotate, my entire scene turns into wire framed boxes. I just got a new computer and it used to not do this...any help?

Did that and nothing happens. Read that somewhere and tried it. What exactly is that the hot key for and I can reassign the key?
Thx!
