with due respect to every one.....i am new to vray..i was trying to render a scene in vray.....but caught up with problem of burn area in rendering..i've placed two vray lights in two windows...which resulted in burn spot at the ceiling....i tried it both with exponential and linear (under color mapping) but it didn't work out.plssssssssssssssssssssssss help me out in this....i'll be reaaaaaaaaaally thankful

The first one looks OK to me.. Doesnt really burn out. The second one will do that when using linear, with vray planes ( I assume) in the windows.
If you are using planes in the windows, to lighten up the scene, you will need to use HSV Expo' or Expo. Try HSV Expo' as well. You may be able to up the intensity of your lights a bit as well. One question.. Why are you blocking the windows up with what appear to be shutters, then trying to get "natural" light into your room...

thanks very much sir for ur reply.....one thing sir.....i tried hsv expo but its affecting the brightness of the room is there any way to control the brightness while giving exponential and hsv expo

3 things...deselect the 'ignore light normals' option (that keeps the light a little more perpendicular to the plane...also there's nothing wrong with moving the light down a foot or 2...or reducing in size to move edges away from floor and ceiling and compensating by increasing the intensity
