We have a work station here that was super slow when moving around the scene. I copied my nvidia driver to his to try and fix the problem, but suddenly, we can't see the textures in the viewport. Renders fine, the view bitmap button is clicked on the material editor, but everything is grey. If you have a simple color in your diffuse slot, it works fine, but once you put a texture map in the material, it turns grey in the viewport.
A few problems occured after installing the driver, (like disapearing toolbars etc) so I copied the UI files from my system to his, and that fixed everything but the bitmap problem. Is there a setting I could be unaware of that may be causing this? I have searched long and hard. I also noticed after all this, that my vidio card is a Quadro FX 3450 and his is the 3400. The reason I copied my driver over is, when I installed the driver that Nvidia offered, the toolbar images disapeard. Once I tried my same driver toolbars worked fine. Just thought I would check and see if anyone knew of a setting we could adjust. |

P.S.
It is only assiciated with the Open GL video driver. Software works fine. But the quality of the bitmap int he viewport isn't as good. I also just checked the nvidia site and the drivers are compatible with both cards, so that shouldn't be the issue. There has got to be a setting. |
