Hi All, I have been given a Z model of a town which I intend to modify and map terrain textures, to, around the centre of town are hundreds of small 3 bed terraced, semi, houses, the camera will not focus on this too much but I was wondering of any way I could procedurally / randomly assign different varying brick/roof textures, Many thanks Mark |

Theres a scrip Mat_id_dashboard
you select polys and it randomly assigns ids, use multi material. Tweak many variatians on photoshop. render by material layering? |

Hi thanks a lot
I will check those out, I think the script could be quite useful as I have hundreds of houses with varying brick faded etc, I was thinking of something to do with the tile procedural map texture in max so that I can get true faded random images across the houses, the only thing I would need to watch is the mapping, although I am quite high up in the air. I will give them all a try Cheers Mark |
