Re: the 2008 International Builders Show.
You could contact the major conference venues and check there schedules for upcoming events. I just rented a booth at the 2007 Architecture Conference hosted by the Association of Licensed Architects. It was held at Drury Lane in Oak Brook Terrace. I ended up talking with countless potential clients.
