Hi all
Why is it when importing DWG files, you get duplicated faces when you go into the sub object mode, once they are converted from linked Geometry to editable meshes, Kind Regards Mark Last edited by Rendermedia; November 20th, 2007 at 06:55 AM. Reason: ommitted detail |

I'm "guessing" its because many rendering engines only display and light the "normal" side of a triangle. The importer needs to duplicate the face with another identical face but with an opposite normal so you will be able to see the back side of it (or not have to worry about which side is normal).
