Default HELP -- How would you model this?

So I am working on lobby for a client and i need to model this curved mosaic tile inset into the lobby floor. I am going to model this as a seperate object obvioulsy, but I am having a little difficulty figuring out how to model this so that my texture map will follow the design.

I have uploaded some pics of the overall shape of the curved tiles, and a closer pic to show how the texture map has to flow with the design.

Any ideas on how to pull this off?
Thanks in advance.

i'd be lofting it if you need the tiles to follow the path of the curve

Well I thought about using a loft or sweep modifier... but how would I apply the UVW map to properly show the texture curving with the shape?

I guess this is more of a question about the UVW mapping more than the modelling.

It tried out what you suggested & it worked. I didn't know that when using the sweep or loft modifier that 3ds max would take into account the mapping of the object.

Thanks.

UVunwrap - save out to photoshop and texture it in there. When you import it use the vray diplacement modifier to bump up the tiles.

yup, it's the way i would use too. You could also make a plane in editable poly follow this shape and put a UVW Map with the facing option. align it with the floor and I don't think you will notice any separation.

Or the classic tutorial from the resources page:
