Good luck to all in the competition, there were some very interesting images from the qualification stage and i'm sure the next challenges will be very fun.

Here are some quick conecpt ideas that i have knocked together just to get the idea across, These are just primitive shapes used so needs much more design work to be done.

Hi thanks good luck to you too
Image one is looking very fine. I really like the concept of digging into the area surrounding the Herculese tower - as it is really uneven. It is looking dynamic which is great.
Not sure about the scale in this WIP but its rough so probably not even need looking into this at the moment.
Looking forward for more WIP's

Cheers

Yes i haven't had much time to adjust the scale of things yet, this is a quick montage of a scheme by delugan meissl architects that i have put in to show the idea.

I think that the design will need to be toned down slightly though to fit with the surrounding site.

Quick question: Does anyone know if we get full resolution photography to do a photomontage image?

No photomontages mate. Images needs to be 90% computer generated - check out the rules... its not that simple

Better start testing how much displacement grass your system can handle

What if i was to render a section and then use clone tool in photoshop?

Otherwise a night image might be the way forward.

If matte painting is allowed, surely cloning a rendered bit is But remember that you need to come up with something that you can do in animation, unless you're just going to go all Ken Burns on a few still shots.
