you're right! i'm so sorry... been stressed, thought 2000 had to be the minimum width resolution... that's why i went to 3078 just in case. hating myself right now..

was waiting for your post!! Just as I expected it. VERY well rendered. Excellent choice of the mood of day, and to be honest I think by far the most practical and thorough thought of in functionality. Aesthetically I personally think one of the best! Just hoped I'd see more action going on in the garden surrounding the magnificent structure. So phallic structures and labia (back to nature) do compose a pleasing out come looolll! This would be a new one for calatrava using "natural" skeletal structures.
Good job amer! Cant wait to see what you got hidden under your animation sleeves for us!
Anticipation is an understatment

thanks yasmin.. yeah i know, i was really caught up with so many projects in the early stages i am still very happy i mananged to do this is the short time i could dedicate to it!

anyway, i asked jeff about the image size, and this was his reply

"If you email me the file as zipped TIFF file, I'll take a look and upload. The resolution rule is only in place so that it can be used in print and for CGA & partners to use for marketing."

so even though this shouldn't affect my crits, i do apologize for missinterpreting the minimum dimension requirements...mainly due to lack of sleep!

Thanks and good luck to all! some really impressive entries here!

Congrats on the image - the glass roof and museum / gallery underneath is particularly effective. I find it a little hard to work out what's going on on the far left, though - it's a difficult to tell whether there're two floors, or if the space is being reflected in the ceiling, or what - I guess you can clear that up in the animation though.

The only other crit that stands out is the sun / moon. It's dark like a night shot, but the thing in the sky looks like more like a sun than a moon - hard to tell what time of day it is!

Looking forward to seeing more of your design in the animation.

Hey Amer, Your image is very good, but feels it has the potential for soooo much more.

The thing i feel that was overlooked is the flat color. The museum interior can be a bright white (bright not meaning intensity but brilliant), and having that color exploding through the glass to the outside, maybe lighting the terrain surrounding just a bit more. The curved structure i feel should have been lit in the same fashion as i explained with the museum, this is what i felt made the design throughout your wip, and this is what I wanted to see.

I am still looking at the bar/lounge piece of the structure and still deciding on what I am seeing.

You have tremendous detail but don't show it properly imo, and absolutely nothing wrong with the camera angle either, i love it.

The overall mood is quiet nice. I like how the areas of interests are emphasized more, especially the underground gallery, which is awesome by the way! There are a few things that I would to point out that maybe you could improve for the animation. First, the reflection on the left side makes the space look a little too flat, and it seems a bit too distorted too. Second, the sidewalk just seems to hit the dead-end, I think it is important to show how you are going to get back to the tower, so the main walkway should be emphasized even more. Finally, as some people have pointed out, the sun/moon is very strong, but the tower is darker on the left, while it should be brighter since the moon is on the left.
The underground gallery is very nice and I think it should be the strongest part for the next challenge phase. Will be cool to see how you will animate such a big design!

Hey Amer congrats on finishing.
The overall composition is nice - you have 3 main focus points - sun - tower - and the space on the left(cafeteria?). The image could just have a little more breathing space above the tower and again below the museum.

I like the whole illumination and warm feel.
The glass lattice is missing some fine tuning regarding antialiasing and someone stole one of the sculptures in the museum.
The tiles could use some bump map or displacement.
It seems that you have lights around the garden which are not lit, not sure if on purpouse. Could be a good thing cause it could turn out as a bit overexposed once they would be turned on.
The concept is interesting and perphaps it was the hardest part of this cometition. Looking forward to your animation.
Looking nice.
