Default Christiaan Klaassen - WIP

Hey Guys,

Onto the next stage, have started out by getting some rough camera angles to make up a rough storyboard. I haven't managed to do any changes to my design yet but believe me its going to get a good overhaul.

Will be quite a conceptual animation showing the landmass and buildings in a stylized wireframe view combined with beauty renders. I have also booked out a studio where i can hopefully do some green screen filming of people to help and merge this with animated models. All people will be silhouetted to go with the style of the animation.

Hope all goes well, i look forward to seeing more of your guys great work.

Cheers
Chris

Hi,
I like how camera approaches from sea towards structure and then goes out and climbs tower height.
I think this is very cool
I think you made a very nice study for your storyboard. Waiting to see more

I like your camera angles... some very interesting design aspects shown..hope you are able to develop your design to the level you're after.

I also like the fact that your going for a conceptual wireframe style of animation, with some stunning beauty renders merged in between, i think that for the time constraintm this should be perfect.

one thing i'm particularly fond off is the last shot.. leaves the viewer with a rather nice and memorable feeling...

good luck, keep 'em comin!

Well your idea certainly covers the long rendering times issue. Nice trick
However I would aim more to make the whole animation consiting only of beauty shots
Storyboard looking interesting.

I like the atmosphere a lot, it reminds me of the movie 300, too. Each image can be very powerful.

My thoughts exactly. I guess by holding still camera angles and animating life/activity you can get around this well; depends on how well you can pull it off, and marry the consistency with your final image submission.

have done some more design work to my site, i have added in the path that will lead from the tower down to the compass/sundial... This will incorporate some platforms perhaps with some more landscape features that need to be added.
textures are just basic placeholders. i'm happy now that the main block is being concealed with grass and is helping to blend the site into the landscape.
I will be using stone, similar to the colour of the tower for the path.

its coming along but lots more to do.

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Looking dynamic and nice. Really like the fact that you incorporated the building with the compass.
Im wondering if the passage isnt too narrow in some places. Might be wrong cause its hard to tell looking at it from such angles.
