Default using materials

guys maybe stupid question, but what is best way, if you have lots of materials in scene and mtl editor window 6x4 is not inough? I'm using pick material fro object and then changing and ..., but maybe there is an easier way? thanks

i use the 'get material' button and then select 'from scene' and choose one. gotta have them nicely named obviously.

It's a shame that autodesk make it 6x4 max.

I all my scenes use way much materials. They should be displayed 6x99 with a slider!

No need for more, 1 or 2 is more efficient, uses less memory too.

Dont forget that you can drag and drop a material from one slot to another to copy it. just remeamber to rename the copy

A often over looked tool is the material library
