We are needing to find a souce for some people to add to a few images for a project in the ski fields of Japan. Our entourage is a bit light on in this area as we are based in sunny Queenland, Australia.

I doubt anything like that exists as such. When I've done ski resorts I've drawn my own figures, using ski magazines for reference on clothing equipment. Actually, I used the fact that I was getting that sort of assignments as an excuse to go snowboarding as a tax deductible expense--took my camera. While finding skier images is hard enough, you also need correct lifts and lift towers, the mechanicals, etc. Going and shooting your own material is probably best.
So how to do that? I guess find someone in a cold place to go shoot for you. Otherwise, look for images on a stock-photo site, though that will be expensive. How long do you have to organize the skier material? |

Sxc.hu, search for things like ski, skiing, ski lift, chair lift. You'll find a lot of free photos, read the restrictions - some of the photographers require you notify them when using their image, but anything can be downloaded and used as reference material without restriction.

A few colleagues have brought in their ski holiday snaps today so we will sift through them. Believe me Ernest we have been talking about an excursion to the snow to get some proper shots! To the project site in Hifaru Japan sounds like a nice dream! WE need to get the images together by next week so we will have to make do with what we can find. Thanks for the link Andrew, another stock photo site to go in my bookmarks. I will trawl through the site soon.
