I have a question for the advanced Mental Ray users. Is it possible to turn off the Sampling Filter completely? I know it is not possible in the drop down filter area, but I was not sure if there is a way to modify any of the 'mi' files to turn off the Filter. I ask this based on my experience with Vray. I had the option to not use a Filter. This increased my rendering time dramatically, and in some ways provided a nicer looking still image. I could control the AA through sampling. Filters were still required for animation.
