Default seaside footage for animations

we have a project that is on the beach and requires the beach to be shown through the huge glass windows and since its an animation , we were thinking of putting a footage through the window ...is that how it is usually done or is there any other way.. and if we do go the footage way ...which collections are suited for it ....any help is appreciated ..thanks

Neil's suggestion really is the best. You'll be able to get exactly the footage you want. it's a very cheap but effective method.

any other ideas? yup, higher a film crew, but that'll cost a small fortune.

Well you could take some stills with your camera and make slow transitions between them in your 3d app or in post. Depends really how much detail you want and how much time you are willing to spend on this. Is the water and sky going to be seen with greater details?

Collections? If you dont have access to a beach you could ask some relatives for a favour. Or maybe a friend.

Try searching youtube for your needs - once you fing smth you like youll have to get the rights for it, contact the owner. Worth a try I think.

You could make your view CG. Create a different scene make the create the animation and the import the avi or set of jpgs in your 3d app or post.

Really cant think of anything else.

sorry Kippu, i thought you were being specific about the site/job you are working on. in that case there's no other answer than go out and film it. but if you just want generic footage then i dont know any other method than scour the web or ask a mate who lives near the beach to film something for you.

Try this site Maria, http://www.archive.org/mediatypes-br...diatype=movies

Just search for "sea". Should be able to find something of use.
