Unhappy Vray - very slow in max 2008...

hi

I'm working on an interior project. The modeling, lighting and material is done in max 8 using vray 1.5RC2. A sample render of this file took around 4 mins. ( Image attached).

Just to test, i opened the same file in max2008 V-ray 1.5 (i.e. modeling, lighting and material is done in max 8), without making any changes, a sample render took around 1 hr in max2008 ( Image attached) and the output is a dark room.

I'm attaching scene images, light, material and rendering settings...

Please help me know what the problem is....

thank u.

When you open an older vray scene in the latest build of Vray, a warning dialog should open stating that the settings have changed from the older builds of Vray. I think some of the changes are with the DMC settings which would defiantly lead to the longer render times.

If this dialog appears, it will ask you if you want to update the settings. I would highly suggest doing so.
