Hello, I have a huge problem. I just got finished making a huge scene and have over 800 maps. I have to use gamma 2.2 LWF and everything is already set when I render with gamma 2.2. The problem I have is i forgot to apply the colour correct map to all of the materials so they don't look too bright when the gamma is applied. Does anyone know of a script for Studio Max that will apply a "colour correct gamma 2.2" to all of the maps??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

why wouldn't you just do it as a default in max if you are doing it to all your maps. As long as you left the import setting on "use default" when you brought in all the maps all you would have to do is change the input value in your max prefs.
change that one slot and it will adjust all your textures for you. |

Ohhh, crap I forgot about that....are you sure that applies the same gamma 2.2 as if I were to apply the colour correct map with a gamma 2.2 in the material editor? Does it work the same so I don't even have to apply the colour correct map?

Koper, is there a special way to run that script in max? I saved the text into notepad and saved with extension .ms then went to run it in 3ds max and nothing came up, no window or anything. Is there a step I'm missing?

Sorry for all the posts and questions but also, after I do this and say I want to save a rendering as like a jpeg, or any format, do I just keep the gamma set to "use system default" when I'm saving a rendering and it will open exactly looking the same in photoshop....thanks so much for your help |
